Why it is safe
to order with a credit card?
Ida-Joy uses secure servers when asking
you for your credit card information. These servers
use encryption for information exchanged between
the site and your browser.
How do you know if a site is secure?
You've seen the letters "http" at the beginning
of most sites you access on the web. In most cases it
will be "http://www" followed by the specific
website address. These web addresses are called URL's
(or Universal Resource Locator) and like any street
address, it helps you find the specific place you are
looking for.
For secure pages, those addresses will begin with https
instead of the standard http. The "s" indicates
the secure server. Never enter you credit card information
on a page that doesn't have the "https" at
the beginning of it's address
Other secure connection indicators:
If you are using Netscape Navigator, look for a solid
blue line at the top of the page and a connected key
in the lower left corner. In the new Netscape Communicator
you will see a locked padlock
in the lower left hand corner.
In Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you will see a padlock
in
the lower right corner. Other browsers have similar
visual cues.
